Designer's Choice Katrin little elephant

In the Designer’s Choice series, Steiff designers are paying homage to famous artwork. After channelling Frida Kahlo in 2019, the focus is now on Pablo Picasso. Steiff designer Katrin Sandmann is fascinated by the versatility of this painter and was inspired by his "Seated Harlequin" from the Blue Period. Just like the Harlequin, Pablo Teddy bear and Katrin little elephant feature a blue rhombus pattern. Katrin little elephant sports the young painter’s motifs on her saddle blanket. The Harlequin rhombus pattern foreshadows the beginning of cubism. Inspiration and adventure are important to Steiff, too... Katrin Sandmann cleverly interprets the rhombuses in different shades of blue andpicks up on them in the blanket. The little elephant and Teddy bear are limited to 500 each.
